From 08/18 to 08/20/2023 we celebrate the surf vibe, the summer and our community at Wellenwerk with the Berlin Surf Open – a rapid surf contest that connects.
We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces and making new friends, to a weekend full of inspiration, fun and mutual motivation. Whether you want to surf along or just enjoy the summer with us: Besides a friendly contest, a sportive and culinary social program is waiting for you and your whole gang.

To kick off the weekend, the wave runs at full speed: On Friday, 18.08. can be surfed in the context of a All you can surf Events from 8-22h continuously!
Arrive, train, rest, from the beginning. 14 hours of surf action for only 150,-€!

A special feature of the Surf Contest: The audience plays a role in judging the tricks. You will have the opportunity not only to cheer on our athletes but also to actively participate as a jury in evaluating the performances of your favorites. Let’s celebrate together the best surfers of 2023!

Pure fun on the wave
In five different categories, the participants present their skills to our community at the Rapid Surf Contest.
Open Men and Open Women (all ages)
Masters all gender (from 35 years old)
Juniors all gender (under 18)
Freestyle all gender
Young talents and professionals get carried away by the energy and show how they ride their wave.
In the Freestyle category, the athletes surprise the jury with creative tricks.
In particular, the Juniors leave an astonished audience and in the Masters the pros show how they master the wave in their sleep.
As a surf talent, register by 07/18/2023 for the contest on Saturday and Sunday to give the crowd your repertoire to the best and above all: to have a fantastic time on the wave.
The entry fee for the unforgettable contest is 75,- €.

Prizes are almost as important in our contest as the fun and shared experience. The winners of the heats can look forward to the following prizes:

SKATING, CHILLING, DANCING
In addition to the Surf Contest, the event offers numerous other culinary and sporting specials for guests and participants. Even beginners can complete their first attempts on the surf skate and get valuable tips. Try new tricks and get inspired by the pros on the board. For the big and small hunger, the kitchen is waiting for your order, of course also vegetarian and vegan.
On Saturday evening, the whole Wellenwerk community comes together to celebrate and dance in the beer garden, in great anticipation of the outcome of the contest the next day.
Highlights of the weekend
Some highlights of the weekend are a common training sessions on Friday, Surfskate Jam, fancy food and drinks, relaxing in the Wellenwerk Backyard, party in the beer garden on Saturday evening and many more sports activities like table tennis and balance board.
